Nice to Meet You

Hi! I am Natsumi Aoto. I am from Shimane Prefecture. I am a member of the badminton club and MEDIATOR, which is a volunteer circle. MEDIATOR consists of our university, Yamaguchi university, Yamaguchi Gakugei university and Yamaguchi college of arts students. We join for events as volunteers. It's very interesting to meet many people through volunteer activities. Let's join us!! Our university is not large so you can make friends, who are not only the same department students but also other department students. I think it's the good point for our university. There are many other good points, so try to find them!! Bye:)

Ice-cream killer gets life
アイスクリーム店店主 終身刑に

An Austrian ice-cream parlor owner has been found guilty of killing her ex-husband and a boyfriend before chopping them up with a chain saw, and burying them in concrete in her shop's basement.
前夫と交際相手の遺体をチェーンソーでバラバラに切り刻み、店の地下室に遺棄した罪でオーストリアのアイスクリーム店の店主に有罪の判決が下った。

Summary

A Vienna court convicted the 34-year-old woman of murder Nov.22nd. She may be a mental illness so the court ordered her to be held in psychiatric care.
The woman, identified only as Estibaliz C., confessed to the murders Nov.19th, but her lawyer said she will appeal.
She shot the men in 2008 and 2010, putting their body parts in a freezer before burying them in her cellar. She had told the court that her ex-husband failed to leave her alone and the boyfriend cheated on her.

Reflection

I was regret that I was charmed by the word "ice-cream" and chose this article.  This case of murder was very grotesque so I was very badly during reading it. I think people who commit murder like this case are never forgiven if there are any reasons.

Vocabulary
