Pigeon bones found with WWII message
第二次大戦の暗号文、鳩の骨と共に見つかる
Experts say the skeletal remains of a pigeon discovered in the chimney of a house in southern England carried a mysterious, long-forgotten message from World War II.
専門家が言うには、イギリス南部のある家の煙突から白骨化した伝書鳩と共に、第二次世界大戦以降長い間忘れ去られ解読不可能な暗号文が発見されたという。
Summary
Historian at Britain's World War II-era codebreaking headquarters say the pigeon almost returned from France where was occupied by Nazi during the June 1944 D-day invasion.
What the message says is not solved. It was coded, an unusual measure generally reserved for the most sensitive secrets.
On Nov.1 Bletchley Park said that one of its manager is trying to solve the message using World War II logbooks.
Reflection
Reading this article, I knew that pigeons were used to convey the messages in World War II. I was surprised that pigeons were entrusted very important things and carried out them. I hope that the message is solved as soon as possible.

The Statue of Liberty has officially reopened to the public after a renovation project.
自由の女神が改修工事を経て内部観光を正式に再開した。
Summary
The statue had been closed for a year to undergo a $30 million interior renovation project, during which time visitors were restricted to the grounds on Liberty Island. The $30 million renovation included replacing the stairs to the crown and making them less steep. There are now 393 steps to the crown, instead of 354.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and a group of U.S. Military Academy cadets were the first to visit Oct. 28th, but the statue was closed Oct.29th and Oct.30th because of the huge storm. The public had to wait until the storm passed to enter the statue.
